8th November 2020 // Lockdown Art

Well that's it for now, after 5 1/2 months of furlough and (unfortunately) redundancy, its back to work tomorrow! Stresses aside with everything going on, it has been brilliant being able to live as a full-time artist and getting back into painting and rediscovering my love for it. For the past year or so I've mainly focused on building the business side with prints, markets and fairs and getting all sorts of admin sorted and websites built. But now these past 5 months have allowed me to get right back into painting, to not only develop my practice and style, but realise new subject matter that I love to paint, which has culminated with these aerial abstract coastal-scapes.

Naturally it has been a difficult time period, as has been for a lot of people, but I'm so grateful that I've had my art and painting to keep me going, focused and driven everyday to produce new work and I'm incredibly thankful for all the comments I've received, and everyone who has bought some work!

For now, its back to work at a new Architecture practice I'm pretty looking forward to working at, and paintings will take somewhat of a side-seat - i have so much more coastal-scapes to complete, especially on large canvases, but inevitably the process will just be a little bit slower now! But I look forward to an exhibition in October and showing all the new work I've been doing in the last couple of months! Thanks!
