5th June 2015 // Oxford Brookes Architecture Show

So I've finally finished my first year of my Architecture Masters! Typically its been tough and a LOT of work, but I feel I have advanced my artistic styles and development significantly with exploring new techniques, mixed media application and depicting different spatial environments. Using paint as a tool for designing architecture is a unique methodology I've never worked with before. Painting what I envisage the interior, exterior and plans and sections of these spaces to look like has been a liberating experience within the design process and I look forward to posting some of this work here soon!

The architecture show at Brookes University was a great event with all the work looking fantastic, and being bias, especially the RLD section which involved projectors, pulleys and hanging images including some of my paintings! I also felt extremely honoured to be awarded the Reginald W Cave Prize for best Research Led Design Project and to have my Dissertation nominated for RIBA's Presidents Medals! A Great end to a thoroughly enjoyable year!
